Alejandro Soria

Alejandro Soria, raised in Wilmington, California, has dedicated his life to serving his community and advocating for mental health and LGBTQ+ rights. He began his career as a teacher with LAUSD before transitioning into the field of mental health as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. Alejandro has spent over two decades with his partner, married 16 years in 2008. Currently, he is the Senior Director of Mental Health Services at The Village Family Services, where he oversees various programs designed to support homeless adults and Transitional Age Youth (TAY), and mental health outpatient services for children. In addition to his role in public service, Alejandro runs his own private practice, HOPE Therapy & Wellness in the City of San Fernando, which is known for providing affirming and culturally appropriate care for LGBTQ+ individuals. As a passionate advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, Alejandro continuously strives to create safe and supportive environments for all. Outside of his professional life, he is a devoted dog lover, bringing the same compassion and care to his four-legged friends.

Alejandro was appointed by Supervisor Horvath and represents the Third District.
